Fruit Bat Falls is a beautiful location on the northern end of the Telegraph Track, where we enjoy lunch and a well earnt swim.
The Old Telegraph Track (OTT) in Cape York, is a historic route that follows the path of the telegraph line constructed in the 1870's. The line connected remote areas of Australia with the southern states facilitating communication and contributing to the development of the region.
The Frenchmans track is a rugged and challenging track which consists of rocky inclines, deep water crossings and muddy, eroded sections. Its on this track that we cross the Pascoe and Wenlock river.
The CREB (Cairns Regional Electricity Board) Track runs through the Daintree Rainforest. It was constructed as a maintenance track for power lines but has since become one of Australias most iconic and challenging offroad tracks. It is full of steep inclines with slippery clay and mud sections, especially after rain.
The Lions Den Hotel is located along the Bloomfield track, nestled on the edge of the Daintree Rainforest. Established in 1875, it is one of Queenslands most iconic and historic pubs.
